The 'G' in the park came about when several former members of the regiment got together and decided it was about time to have an informal gathering and the result was the birth of 'G' in the park.

This event was first thought about when Kirsty and Tony Posey moved back to Scotland from South of the Border.

Tony, had managed to secure some property with a bit of land enough to hold a regiment, in a little known place of Gamrie in Banffshire.

with the invitations sent out far and wide by the use of pony express (snail mail) and new technology (E-mail) and of course the good old blether (word of mouth).
